New Pricing Schedule for Educational Institutions
As of May 1st 2009, the following applies to organisations requiring a quantity discount for the use of MathMatic Student Edition in a multi-user environment.
1) The former network site license scheme is discontinued and replaced by a "per-installation" solution. This implies that the software be installed on each individual machine for which a license has been granted. We supply our customers with an automatic installer. Registration information is comprised in the install procedure and requires no further intervention from your staff. A typical standalone installation take about two minutes.
2) The new, more advantageous price schedule is now based on the number of machine on which the sofware is installed, regardless the number of students using the software on site.
3) Students wanting to purchase a private license for home use can be included in the Institution's bulk order. Thus, the Institution and its Students benefit from a significantly higher discount.
EXAMPLE : A school with 3 computer rooms having 6 computers each will require a bulk license for 18 copies of the software. After informing the 150 students of the possibility for them to buy a discounted copy for home use, 21 of them receive parental agreement. The bulk order the School will send us is therefore of 39 units instead of just 18. The team School-Students raised the discount from 21% to 42% !
How it works : The school handles the information to the students and adds the number of participants to its own bulk order, thus bettering the discount. The provided worksheets indicate the price-per-unit to be charged to each joining Student by the School. Lastly, the School communicates to us the name and email address of each participating Student. In order to protect the school from being involved in possible infrigement of our license agreement by Students, we privately handle the digital distribution of the registered software to each participating student, exactly as if the program had been ordered directly through our website.
